Excerpts from the book

“I was driving on the 101 freeway admiring the beauty of the ocean en route to Santa Barbra.  Then it came….. bammmm!!  This warm rush filled my veins and poured through my system.  I had to pull over my car immediately because I hadn’t felt something this intense before.  My jaw became soft, my temples were ringing with joy, and I was this soft, plastic, gummy person that became a fixture of the seat in my car.  I lowered the seat back, and my eyes twitched.

A tear drop came out of the right side of my eye.  Any bit of physical pain I had was gone… this was much more powerful than the Vicodin or Norco’s.  I was instantly delivered to this pinnacle of goodness that can only be described as: “this is exactly how God and Jesus Christ want me to feel.”  This is pure religion – nothing should feel this good.”

Oxycontin can only legally be obtained by “Triplicate” prescription, which is heavily regulated by the DEA. Chasing doctors and drug dealers became my full time occupation. I was no longer the owner of a successful insurance brokerage, I was a junkie in the race for more Oxycontin. I was officially “Dying for Triplicate.”
Addicted for nearly 17 years to prescription pain medications, I tried every method imaginable to get off the pills: Medical at Home Detoxes, Rehabs, I even paid $10,000 to have my blood cleaned in hopes that it would “fix me.”
